Every lens goes through a rigorous multi-step manufacturing process to ensure precision, quality, and consistency at every stage.
Every order begins with a thorough review of the incoming prescription. Our technicians validate the script, check for compatibility with requested lens material, and flag any ambiguities before processing begins.
The correct semi-finished lens blank is selected based on the prescription power, material, diameter, and design requirements. Inventory is managed digitally to ensure the right blank is always available.
Using our free-form CNC generators, the lens is surfaced to sub-micron accuracy. For progressive and free-form designs, the digital recipe is computed and cut to produce a fully customised back surface.
The surfaced lens undergoes fining and high-polish cycles to achieve optical clarity. The surface is inspected for any scratches, pits, or haze before proceeding to coating.
Lenses enter our clean-room vacuum chamber for multi-layer coating application — hardcoat, AR, UV, hydrophobic, and blue light filter layers are deposited in sequence. Tinting is completed separately in our precision dye bath.
If the order includes frame fitting, the coated lens is traced and edged to the exact frame shape using our computer-controlled edger. Rimless drilling is performed with precision micro-drill equipment.
Every finished lens passes our 7-point QC protocol: power verification on the lensmeter, optical centre check, prism verification, scratch inspection, coating adhesion test, UV transmission check, and visual clarity assessment.
Approved lenses are individually wrapped, labelled with the order details, and packed securely for dispatch. Standard orders are dispatched within 24–48 hours. Rush orders are prioritised for same-day dispatch.
